Welcome to the Occupational Health and Safety in the Health Care Environment Educational Resource.

The intent of this educational resource is to expand your knowledge in the area of occupational health and safety. The modules have been developed specifically for the members of the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic & Therapeutic Technologists with the information applicable to your continuing competency programs. This resource consists of 9 modules, with a 10th module outlining references and additional resources for added learning.

It is important to build on your understanding of occupational health and safety legislation in order to promote awareness of the responsibilities of both employers and employees.

The online format of this resource allows for you to learn at your own pace as you cover the occupational health and safety principles and best practices within the health care industry. Test your knowledge at the end of each module by taking the quiz questions.
