Incorporating Safety into Your Day

What can you do to make safety part of your workday?

  • Do your own hazard assessments, don't leave it up to others to tell you what is not safe
  • Manage your health as best as you can to ensure you are functioning and feeling at your best
  • Be fit, mentally and physically, for your work tasks and know your limitations
  • Plan ahead before you start your day
  • Be involved in mentorship programs, health and safety committees
  • Participate in all training
  • Know your rights and responsibilities when it comes to workplace legislation
