CONNECT 2020 cancelled

Due to the evolving situation with the coronavirus (COVID-19) and following the mandate of Alberta’s Chief Medical Officer, and the advice of the Public Health Agency of Canada on mass gatherings during the outbreak, we have made the decision to cancel the CONNECT 2020 conference scheduled for May 1-2 in Calgary.

The safety of the attendees, our members and the public who rely on the essential work of MRTs and ENPs is the highest priority for us. Although we are very disappointed to have to make this decision, we are certain this is the most responsible decision to preserve the health and safety of members and stakeholders, and to do our part to minimize the spread of disease.

We are very cognizant of the impact this will have on members and sponsors, and understand that this change may lead to a number of questions regarding reimbursement for conference registration. We will automatically provide full refunds for all registrations, within the next 14 days. There is no need to contact ACMDTT or CAMRT to initiate your reimbursement. Please note that reimbursements will be made through your original method of payment. We will process refunds as quickly as possible, but your patience is appreciated.

We also recommend that you cancel any hotel accommodation or travel arrangements you have made at your earliest convenience.

We are considering ways to bring you some of the planned program content digitally – please stay tuned for future communications as we evaluate these possibilities.

For more information on COVID-19, please consult the information on the outbreak provided by the Government of Alberta, the Public Health Agency of Canada and the World Health Organization.
