Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) Week is November 8-14, 2020!

The College is proud to support MRT Week as a means of raising awareness about the MRT specialties we regulate and celebrating the essential role they play in our healthcare system. Due to the evolving situation with COVID-19, the College is adapting the way we celebrate MRT week this year. Routine practices are important and necessary to mitigate the risk of transmission, so we are sharing a digital download for all MRTs across the province this year instead of mailing out packages to organizations.

This has been a challenging year for everyone and for healthcare workers in particular, so we decided to look ahead to next year and create a 2021 calendar that celebrates MRTs. This calendar features images from our latest annual report that showcase the progress that has been made over time in providing medical diagnostic and therapeutic care to patients.

While MRT Week is only celebrated once a year, we recognize and appreciate the hard work and professionalism of MRTs all year round. This has been a year full of uncertainty, changes and new challenges, and we are grateful that you help us uphold our mandate of protecting the public by continuing to provide excellent care to Albertans.
