Save the date: Regulatory Education Symposium

CATEGORY: News

Save the date! The College’s first Regulatory Education Symposium is taking place on October 16 and 23, 2021.

This two-day virtual event will feature a variety of learning sessions as well as an update from the College. The learning sessions will cover a wide range of topics including social media use, diagnostic imaging facility accreditation, and diversity and inclusion. All presentations will be mapped to the College’s foundational documents, from our Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics to legislation like the Health Professions Act and Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists Profession Regulation.

Everyone is welcome to join us for both days of the event, or you may choose to attend only one day. Regulated members who attend the entire two-day event will be eligible to claim up to 8.5 hours of learning towards their CCP! While the program of this event explores how regulation weaves into the everyday practice of MRTs and ENPs, we believe the information presented will also be valuable to students, diagnostic medical sonographers (DMSs) and anyone else who is interested in learning more about health profession regulation in Alberta.

Day 1: Saturday, October 16, 2021, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Day 2: Saturday, October 23, 2021, 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Location: Online via Zoom webinar (registration required for each day)
Cost: Free!

An official invitation will be sent out to all College members in mid-September with the registration links, and the links will also be available on our website for non-members who wish to attend. To view the program and learn more about the event, please visit the Regulatory Education Symposium page.
