The College would like to announce the results of the recent Council elections.

The College has closed its physical office, and the team is working remotely until further notice.

Due to the evolving situation with the coronavirus (COVID-19) and following the mandate of Alberta’s Chief Medical Officer, and the advice of the Public Health Agency of Canada on mass gatherings during the outbreak, we have made the decision to cancel the CONNECT 2020 conference scheduled for May 1-2 in Calgary.

While Albertans are currently at low risk of being exposed to novel coronavirus (COVID-19), we encourage all MRTs and ENPs to maintain ongoing awareness about the situation using official sources.

Bill 21: An Act to Protect Patients introduced significant amendments to the Health Professions Act, providing specific guidance and requirements to regulated health professions for preventing and addressing sexual abuse and/or sexual misconduct towards patients.
