By serving on a committee or contributing as a CCP Submission Reviewer, registrants play an important role in protecting the public, advancing professional practice, and supporting the College’s regulatory responsibilities.
We are currently seeking applicants for the following opportunities:

The College is seeking CCP Submission Reviewers to support the annual CCP audit process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review CCP audit submissions and provide objective assessments of whether submitted information and evidence meet College requirements and standards.
  • Review CCP audit submissions and provide feedback on whether the information and evidence meet the College’s requirements and standards.
  • Participate in CCP Audit Group meetings and working groups as needed.

Qualifications 

  • Current registration with the College in one or more of the eight specialties.
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise in clinical practice, education, research, or leadership.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to review submissions objectively and maintain confidentiality.
  • Demonstrated ability to critically review information and evidence, apply College requirements and standards, exercise professional judgment, and provide clear, objective feedback.

Contract Details 

Compensation: Hourly or per engagement (to be determined).

Duration: 1-year renewable contract.

Time Commitment: Reviewers will meet in the fall to prepare and receive training for the upcoming CCP audit. The annual CCP audit takes place in October. Additional time will be required to review assigned submissions.

The Registration and Competence Committee plays an important role in ensuring registrants meet admission requirements and maintain ongoing competence throughout their careers.

Committee members contribute to decisions that support fair registration processes, continuing competence, and professional accountability.

Responsibilities

Committee members may:

  • Review registration and reinstatement applications referred by the Registrar
  • Monitor compliance with the Continuing Competence Program (CCP)
  • Participate in annual CCP audits
  • Provide input on registration and competence assessment processes
  • Support ongoing improvements to regulatory practices

The Selection Committee supports Council by identifying and recommending qualified candidates for appointment to the College’s Council.

Committee members help ensure Council reflects a variety of experiences, professional backgrounds, and perspectives while maintaining strong governance practices.

  • Review candidate applications

Support Fair and Transparent Regulatory Decision-Making

Complaint Review Committees and Hearing Tribunals play a vital role in ensuring complaints and disciplinary matters are reviewed fairly, impartially, and in accordance with legislation.

Roster members contribute to decisions that uphold professional standards and maintain public confidence in the professions regulated by the College.

Responsibilities

Roster members may:

  • Review settlement agreements arising from the Alternative Complaint Resolution process
  • Review complaint dismissals at the request of complainants (Complaint Review Committee)
  • Serve on Hearing Tribunals when allegations of unprofessional conduct proceed to a hearing
  • Review evidence and submissions
  • Participate in deliberations and decision-making

  1. To be eligible for appointment to a committee or engagement as a CCP Submission Reviewer, an applicant must:
    • Be a registrant on the general register of the College;
    • Have no fees, costs, fines, levies, or any other sums owing to the College;
    • Have a valid and current practice permit that is not currently suspended;
    • Be in compliance with the College’s Continuing Competence Program.
  2. To be eligible for appointment, an applicant must not:
    • Have been formally charged with unprofessional conduct that has not yet been determined by a hearing tribunal;
    • Have been found guilty of unprofessional conduct within the preceding five years;
    • Have been found guilty of unprofessional conduct related to sexual abuse, sexual misconduct or any sexual boundary violation at any time in any jurisdiction including outside of Canada;
    • Be currently subject to an order or direction made pursuant to the Act that has not been discharged;
    • Be currently taking legal action against the College or completed legal action against the College within the preceding six years before the date of applying;
    • Be employed by the College or have been employed by the College within the preceding six years;
    • Hold federal, provincial, or local government office; or
    • Be an officer or senior employee of a professional association or a labour union that represents members of a regulated profession.
