The Alberta College of Medical Diagnostics and Therapeutic Technologists (the College) will begin using text messaging to reach registrants with very important or urgent messages.

The messages coming from (587) 847-4585 will begin with “ACMDTT:” to ensure registrants know they are legitimate and not spam. The technology is two-way, so registrants can reply and have conversations with the College. To end all future communication on the platform, recipients can reply with STOP. The text service number does not accept phone calls.

The first usage of text messages will be in late November to inform registrants about upcoming Renewal deadlines. It’s expected it will also be used for other registration purposes and complaints.
