A hearing is a formal legal process similar to a court proceeding used to resolve complaints of unprofessional conduct. It is conducted by a hearing tribunal in the role of a jury.

| To be Scheduled | Complaint referred to Hearings Director and Hearing date is pending. |
| Scheduled | Hearing date is set. |
| Postponed | Hearing was scheduled and postponed. A new date will be determined. |
| Sanction Phase | Sanctions to be presented to the Hearing Tribunal. |
| Decision Pending | Hearing has concluded and a written decision will be issued by the Hearing Tribunal. |
| In Appeal | Hearing Tribunal’s Decision being appealed to Council Appeals Committee (date TBD). |
Attending a Hearing
Hearings are generally open to the public unless the hearing tribunal grants a request to close the hearing, which may happen at the last minute.
Observers must register at least three business days before the hearing.
Media members must inform the Hearings Director of their affiliation.
A Zoom link will be sent one day before the hearing.
