2023 Registration Renewal system open Oct. 1 to Dec. 31
The online registration renewal system for 2023 is now open!
The annual renewal process is one of the most important legal obligations for all medical radiation technologists (MRTs) and electroneurophysiology technologists (ENPs) practicing in Alberta as it assures the public that the health professionals providing them care have demonstrated they continue to meet the College’s registration requirements.
General and temporary members’ registration will expire on December 31, 2022.
Members should complete their renewal by November 30, 2022, to avoid an additional administration charge.
If a member is renewing additional or enhanced practice authorizations, it is important to account for the time it will take their supervisor and the College to approve the authorization renewal.
We encourage all members to read the information on the Annual Renewal page and consult the following as needed:
- Registration Renewal 2023 Information Guide – Detailed information about all aspects of the renewal process
- Member Portal Renewal Manual – Step-by-step instructions for completing your renewal in My Profile along with screenshots of the system

How to renew
Before starting your renewal:
- Complete your Continuing Competence Program (CCP) cycle for 2021-22.
- Determine your practice hours for 2022.
- Get your professional liability insurance for 2023.
To begin the renewal process, log in to My Profile and click the “Renew” button on your home page.
Please note there are forms that may also appear on your home page, a Practice Hours Verification form and a Specialty Application form — these forms are not related to renewal and should not be filled in unless you are directed by the College to complete them.

Important information regarding the 2021/2022 CCP requirements
It is important for members to have completed their 2021/2022 Continuing Competence Program (CCP) cycle requirements prior to beginning the renewal process.
We encourage members to remedy this situation as soon as possible to ensure their compliance with legislation and to avoid delays in renewing their practice permit. If any CCP requirements are still outstanding, the renewal application will not be processed.
