Registration is mandatory. To practice as a Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) in Alberta and use all protected titles, you must be registered with the College and hold an active practice permit.

Who can Apply as a Labour Mobility Applicant?

This route applies to you if:

  • You are registered as an MRT in another regulated province (table below) and hold an active practice permit when applying for registration in Alberta.

If the province and corresponding specialty are not listed, it means that it DOES NOT REGULATE your specialty. You must apply under the Non-Labour Mobility route.

If you select this registration route, DO NOT RESIGN from your current regulatory body until we confirm that your registration is approved. If you resign before your Alberta registration is approved, you must submit a new application through the Non-Labour Mobility route.
