Registration Verification
To help ensure the integrity of the registration and renewal process, some registrants may be selecte8d to take part in a Registration Verification Program.
What is a Registration Verification Program?
This program helps confirm that the information submitted during annual renewal is accurate. This may include verifying your reported practice hours, proof of professional liability insurance, or other registration-related declarations.
Why We Use Verification Programs
Rather than reviewing every renewal in detail, the College uses targeted verification programs for the following reasons:
Support Compliance
Knowing that renewal information may be verified encourages registrants to provide accurate and complete submissions.
Focus on Key Areas
We can concentrate efforts on specific areas such as low practice hours or missing documentation.
Use Resources Effectively
By reviewing a representative sample of registrants, the College can maintain oversight while using resources efficiently.
Verification Process
Each spring, a selection of registrants is chosen to participate in the verification program. If selected, you will be asked to:
- Confirm the information submitted during your renewal
- Provide documentation to verify:
- Practice hours or

The process may also involve follow-up questions or requests for clarification.

Each program includes clear instructions, timelines, and guidance. All required information will be outlined on the relevant program page.
Why Verification Programs Are Important
Verification programs help maintain public trust by ensuring all registrants meet the standards required for active practice. They support transparency, accountability, and the ongoing integrity of the profession.
