The College regulates five specialties: radiological technologyradiation therapynuclear medicine technologymagnetic resonance technology, and electroneurophysiology technology. Regulated members are authorized to practice in more than one specialty provided they are registered in each one.

To become registered in a secondary specialty, you must apply just like you would for your primary specialty. The only difference is the practice hours requirement, which is 160 hours in a five-year window rather than the 800 required for your primary specialty.

Visit the How to Apply page to determine which application process applies to your situation. You may have more than one secondary specialty provided you meet all the requirements for each one, including the practice hours requirement.

If you have any questions about secondary specialties, please contact the College at registration@acmdtt.com, 780.487.6130 or toll-free at 1.800.282.2165.
